Cydia pomonella - kairomones (MEGALURE CM DUAL 4K)

Common name: Codling moth.

Recommended trap: Delta type. Note: The trap is purchased separately.

The product consists of two individually packaged diffusers sold together in a single unit. One diffuser contains 3 % of a kairomone blend and the other contains 1 % of intensifier, used for simultaneous monitoring of male and female codling moth in pome fruits, stone fruits and others. Using both diffusers allows simultaneous monitoring of males and females for 8 weeks in a single trap, making the product highly efficient in orchards protected by mating disruption for evaluating control efficacy, and presenting itself as an extremely interesting option for monitoring the pest in conventional orchards and in small areas such as family orchards or isolated trees.

Attention: Gloves must be used when handling the diffusers after opening the sealed package. Diffusers must be handled separately to avoid cross‑contamination. It is advised to handle diffuser A first and diffuser B last. When preparing multiple traps, install diffuser A in all traps and only then install diffuser B. It is recommended to consult the installation instructions to ensure correct handling and assembly in the trap, and to maintain the glue base and clean the trap every 4 weeks of use or whenever the glue base becomes saturated.

As a minimum number of traps per plot, the following is recommended:

- Walnut: use two traps in plots smaller than four hectares; one trap per four hectares in plots larger than four and smaller than forty; and one trap per six hectares in plots larger than forty hectares;

- Apple and pear: use two traps in plots smaller than four hectares; and one trap per four hectares in plots larger than four and smaller than forty hectares.

The product is available in an individual sealed package with 5 g (3 % kairomones and 1 % intensifier).
